ITS Management Sdn Bhd and Yiwu Industrial & Commercial College (YWICC) successfully held an online unveiling and signing ceremony for Malaysia Yiwu Silk Road Institute (MYSRI).

YWICC is one of China’s earliest universities to establish student entrepreneurship faculty. It is also known as “The World’s Best Cradle of E-Commerce”. The college also nurtures more than 500 students’ innovative and entrepreneurial projects and more than 200 students’ companies each year. A large number of student entrepreneurs graduated from the school every year. The college attracts more than 100 domestic and foreign delegations to visit the school every year and is one of Alibaba Global Digital Talent (GDT) members’ first batches.
 
ITS Management Sdn Bhd is an appointed Alibaba GDT Channel Partner to manage and expand GDT programs in Malaysia. ITS presents its commitment to promoting education and training to help Malaysia cultivate digital and e-commerce talents with a global perspective. In 2017 – 2019, ITS successfully led 76 companies from various industries and 175 business owners and senior management to Alibaba Headquarter in China to learn first-hand of Alibaba’s successful eCommerce strategies and experiences in promoting digitalization and talent cultivation for the digital era. In 2020, ITS successfully organized Alibaba GET Global Challenge Malaysia, a global completion on creative and innovative digital solutions, which attracted 208 students from 28 universities.
 
By establishing MYSRI, both parties hope to use this platform to open a new chapter in the humanities and education exchanges and cooperation between China and Malaysia, especially the e-commerce talent training cooperation.
 
The objectives of the MYSRI includes:
  1. Developing E-Commerce (cross-border) employment and entrepreneurship training.
  2. Strengthening cooperation with Malaysian universities, attract domestic college students to Yiwu for internship training.
  3. Collaborating with Malaysia corporations to establish a Belt-road based professional practice working and entrepreneurial studies opportunities for students from China.
The online unveiling ceremony was hosted by ITS CEO – Mr Chong Hoi San and COO – Ms Tan Lay Guat. The guests who attended the unveiling and signing ceremony were President of YWICC – Ma Guang, Vice President of YWICC – He Shao Qing, and other leaders from the institute. Invited guests from Malaysia were Melaka’s Special Economic Envoy to China – Datuk Wira Gan Tian Loo, President of Malacca Chinese Chambers Of Commerce & Industry (MCCCI) – Mr Steven Siang Teck Siong, Honorary President of MCCCI – Datuk Tan Poh Seng, Deputy President of MCCCI Mr Pang Kong Woon, Vice President of MCCCI – Mr Chan Wah Kim, Vice President of MCCCI – Dato’ Seri Chan Lian Leong, and Secretary-General of MCCCI – Mr Go Tiong Siew.

Yiwu Industrial & Commercial College (YWICC) is a college in Yiwu, China. The campus covers an area of over 160 acres and boasts a build-up of 296,000 square meters.
